Shaped like an oversized cigar—slender, slightly tapered, and marked by four subtle bands—Havana quietly lights up patios and garden paths without fighting the scenery. Jozeph Forakis first sketched the lamp in 1993; MoMA added it to its permanent collection, and now Foscarini releases this outdoor version in sun- and rain-proof polyethylene. The opal surface turns the LEDs inside into a soft, 360-degree glow that makes stone walls warmer, foliage deeper, and late dinners feel unhurried. Choose the shorter or taller column, then pick how it meets the ground: a square metal plate for decks, a stake that slides into soil, or an in-ground base when you want nothing but the light to show. Whichever path you take, the lamp’s weight is just enough to stay put yet light enough to shift when the party—or your planting plan—moves elsewhere.
