Ōbori Sōma-yaki, traditionally crafted in Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture, temporarily disappeared from the spotlight after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. However, this remarkable craft is slowly being revived by artisans who have inherited the techniques and continue to carry on the tradition in a new location. Asemico’s teacups, made with this rich history in mind, are available in two sizes.
