Kihara presents an innovative approach by blending the traditional Arita porcelain style with a fresh design, seamlessly merging the old and the new. This manifests in the early Imari-style rain patterns, reflecting a distinct aesthetic. Koichi Sato, the creator, aimed to capture the rustic, plump, and inviting texture reminiscent of the early Imari style – a quality rarely found in contemporary porcelain. While the dyed patterns inherently carry a modern essence, Sato diligently endeavored to recreate the original texture, facing multiple challenges along the way. Given that each piece is meticulously hand-crafted by skilled artisans, variations in color and pattern placement from the provided image are to be expected.
