In the Anfore collection, stone and iron come together in contemporary designs that celebrate the character and craftsmanship of antique vessels. Italian studio Gumdesign has created the series as a tribute to the distinct beauty of found artifacts. The vases combine tactile Leccese stone from Lecce, Puglia, with hand-etched iron. As the metal “pierces” the stone, it hides a practical handle that allows the user to fill the vessels with ease. Re-imagined for daily use, these amphorae blend expressive design and function. The Anfore series comprises three versions of the design, with the stone in white, beige, or light brown.
