Description

Wobble is what you buy when you want a wool rug, but you don’t want the room to feel like it’s wearing beige socks. It’s natural wool, but the surface has depth: a high-cut pile with a soft, uneven relief that catches light and shadow instead of relying on color.

Around the edge, Tom Dixon drops the pile into a tighter looped border. It’s a small detail, but it makes the rug easier under dining chairs and keeps the perimeter looking crisp.

Handwoven in Northern India from New Zealand wool with natural cotton. Offered in two sizes on one listing: 170 × 240 cm and 200 × 300 cm.

Born in Tunisia in 1959, British designer Tom Dixon moved to the UK in 1963. A self-taught designer, he became well-known in the mid ‘80s thanks to a series of welded furniture made of found and salvaged materials. A collaboration with Italian brand Cappellini soon followed, along with the iconic ‘S’ chair. By the early 1990s, Tom Dixon had become a household name.
