Description
An analog watch with a digital soul, Tokiji pays homage to the seven-segment digit system first introduced in digital wristwatches back in the 1970s. The name means “numerals that represent time” in Japanese, giving another nod to the collection’s concept. Made by Tokyo-based brand Normal Timepieces, the watch is both minimalist and innovative. The design also draws inspiration from the traditional chronograph. However, the Tokiji watch boasts three pushers instead of two pushers and a crown. Clean and minimal, the dial has a liquid crystal display (LCD) completed with a proprietary technique that eliminates glare and ensures optimal legibility. Functions include the date and a second timezone as well as an alarm and a stopwatch. Tokiji timepieces feature a 38mm stainless steel case, a hardened mineral glass lens, and come with quality leather or mesh straps.
