This chair boasts a turned backrest and legs, with the back legs featuring a different design. While giving a nod to the long history of woodworking and turned timber chairs, the design comes to life with the help of modern technology. More specifically, numerical control multi-axis machines. And the result? Elegant chairs that look both familiar and contemporary. Crafted with a solid beech wood frame, this dining chair comes with a fixed upholstered seat and PVC glides. Billiani offers the option to choose between the wood finish, color or stain, and the upholstery material that includes leather and fabric.

Along with digital model-making and manufacturing technology, he adds a thorough analysis of the history of furniture and traditional craftsmanship. He lectures at Rhode Island School of Design. His works have been published internationally.
