Used for millennia in sculpture and architecture, marble is tough and smooth as well as long-lasting. In the Tom Dixon collection, this treasured material gives contemporary lighting a refined expression. The Stone Pendant Light features a milled Morwad marble shade with cylindrical and circular forms. A golden brass sphere that seems to float inside the stone casing houses the light. Born in Tunisia in 1959, British designer Tom Dixon moved to the UK in 1963. A self-taught designer, he became well-known in the mid ‘80s thanks to a series of welded furniture made of found and salvaged materials.
