Soft Machine Brass is a brass corkscrew with real heft and a generously sized handle that sits naturally in the hand. The finish is warm and softly reflective—solid brass paired with stainless steel—so it feels as good on a bar cart as it does in actual use. Give it a few nights of openings and it starts to look like yours, the way brass always does.
Inside, it runs on a rack-and-pinion system that lifts the cork straight up in one continuous motion. You use the foil-cutting wheel, set the support arm, twist to the mark, then lift—clean release, no fuss, even when you’re opening bottle three and somebody is already asking for “a splash.” There’s also a bottle opener built in, and optional personalization if you’re buying it as a gift that needs to land hard.
