Seletti Seletti Hybrid Collection, Valdrada Fruit & Dessert Plate

Product description

This plate from Seletti is part of the designer’s Hybrid collection that plays on the collaboration yet distinction between Chinese and European bone china production. Design studio CTRLZAK juxtaposes the two styles by slicing the plate in half-half is decorated in an eastern motif and half in a western one. Even the rim of the plate is different on either side. The eastern half of this plate features a male figure floating above a surreal natural setting. The western half has a more realistic, yet idyllic countryside scene. Both have leafy, floral borders but the left half is also gilded at the edge. A similar shade of navy ties the two halves together.
