Description

An exploration of expressive minimalism, the Plane Round Pendant light uses simple geometric forms to add maximum visual impact to a room. The pendant is part of the Tom Dixon lighting collection and displays the designer’s preference for bold, unconventional designs. It features a round brass frame that holds a double layered glass sphere with a white finish. The design creates an optical illusion, resembling a flat round object when seen from the front. Changing the viewing angle uncovers the three-dimensional build of the pendant light. A black fabric cord adds contrast to the gold and white palette. While beautiful on its own, the Plane Round Pendant looks its best alongside the round and triangle pendants from the same collection.

Tom Dixon

Born in Tunisia in 1959, British designer Tom Dixon moved to the UK in 1963. A self-taught designer, he became well-known in the mid ‘80s thanks to a series of welded furniture made of found and salvaged materials.
