Description
Nuvolino is a small incense burner designed by Italian industrial designer Giulio Iacchetti and produced by ceramic artisans in Italy. It has a clear, readable shape: a rounded top, a slim neck, and a vertical body on a compact base, all in matte white ceramic. It looks a bit like a stylized figure, which gives it character without turning it into a toy or a caricature, and it sits easily on a shelf, side table, or desk.
The burner is used with incense cones. You light the cone, blow out the flame, and place the ceramic cover over the base. Smoke then exits through the opening at the top in a thin, visible line while the fragrance slowly fills the room. The whole process is simple and controlled, so using it feels deliberate rather than dramatic.
Nuvolino is the first piece in a new collection of objects for home fragrance that Iacchetti is developing. The launch version is only available in matte white, but the form is intended to serve as a base for future artist-decorated editions, which makes this first run interesting from a collectible point of view—an early, relatively accessible object from a well-established designer.
Each burner comes with a starter box of eight natural incense cones made in India by Goloka Seva Trust, in four fragrances: Nag Champa, Wild Rose, White Sage, and Dragon Blood. There are no chemical additives or toxic substances listed in the material spec.
