Description
This Nambu Cast Iron Kettle is the 2016 update of the successful first version which won the Good Design Award. The new model features an elegant round walnut wood grip that replaces the previous angular shape and softens the design. This cast iron kettle is crafted in the Iwate Prefecture of Japan using manufacturing techniques dating back to the 17th century. By firing the ironware, the metal becomes oxidized and protected by an anti-rust layer which also adds a smooth pebble-like texture to the surface. The Nambu Cast Iron Kettle is designed by Makoto Koizumi with a minimalist Japanese aesthetic that blends elegant and subtle curves with angular accents and it’s manufactured by Tetu. The lid has a round walnut grip, while the metal handle makes carrying easy and can be conveniently folded down while in storage. Designed to last for generations, the kettle will become an indispensable part of your family life, transforming tea into a daily ritual to be shared with loved ones.
