Peter Raacke’s original 1959 Mono A place setting includes a table spoon, fork, teaspoon, and compact short-blade knife. Made in Germany from matte-brushed 18/10 stainless steel and dishwasher safe.

Description

Designed by Peter Raacke, Mono A was introduced in 1959 as a sharply defined alternative to the ornamental flatware common at the time. Broad, flat handles give each utensil a recognizable profile, while the matte-brushed finish makes the stainless steel suitable for regular use without looking overly formal.

This four-piece place setting includes one table spoon, one table fork, one teaspoon, and Mono’s long-blade table knife. The longer knife was added after Raacke’s original short-blade version for customers who prefer a more extended knife profile. At 8.78 inches long, the knife is the longest piece in the setting.

The spoon, fork, and teaspoon are made from 18/10 stainless steel. The knife incorporates hardened blade steel for lasting cutting performance. All four pieces have a matte-brushed finish and are dishwasher safe.

Made at Mono’s manufactory in Mettmann, Germany, the set provides one complete place setting. Multiple sets can be combined for a full dining service, while additional serving utensils and specialized pieces from the Mono A collection are available separately.
