Description
Designed by Konstantin Grcic for Alessi, KG01 is a tall salt, pepper, and spice grinder machined from aluminum. Its 8.55-inch body starts with a round upper section and transitions into an eight-sided profile, giving the hands a clear surface to grip and turn when grinding.
The aluminum is machined to create sharply defined edges, then sandblasted and anodized for a finely textured surface. Inside is an adjustable ceramic grinding mechanism suitable for peppercorns, coarse salt, and other dry spices. Grind size can be changed at the base, from coarse to fine.
The narrow 1.93-inch diameter keeps the grinder easy to hold with two hands while giving it enough height for use at the stove or dining table. To refill it, the upper section pulls away from the body, exposing an opening for adding salt, pepper, or spices.
