Get wild with your indoor lighting choices with Ugo Rilla from Karman. Designed by Matteo Ugolini, this wall-mounted lamp brings a gorilla into your home. Reproducing a gorilla’s head with accuracy, this white or dark gray ceramic lamp features detailed lines that recreate the animal’s fur and angry expression. Here, the designer alludes to rage at human technology that accelerates nature’s destruction. Ugo Rilla holds three light bulbs in its mouth, brightening the surrounding area with a cool or warm light, depending on the source of light – incandescent halogen or LED. This sculptural lamp is a conversation starter and comes in two versions, both designed for indoor use only.

Designer: Matteo Ugolini

Matteo Ugolini was born in Pesaro, Italy. He gratuated at Centro Sperimentale Design of Ancona. Upon graduation, he started collaborating with Studio Telemaco, developing furniture and accessories for a variety of design/architectural projects.
