Description
The i-ru Pot 2L Sakura is a Japanese enamel pot made from Nambu ironware, the cast iron craft associated with Iwate Prefecture. Presented by Orlo by Gessato, this 2L cooking pot brings together traditional Japanese iron casting and a smooth enamel finish that makes the cooking surface practical for daily use.
The pot is designed for steady heat. The cast iron body retains warmth well, making it useful for rice, soups, stews, braises, simmered vegetables, and waterless cooking. For rice, it can cook up to 3 go and includes a water-level mark for that purpose.
The lid sits slightly inside the rim of the pot to help hold in steam. Small projections on the underside of the lid return condensation to the ingredients, a useful detail for dishes that benefit from gentle moisture circulation.
This Sakura version has a soft pink enamel finish inspired by cherry blossoms. It can move from cooktop to table and works with IH cooktops as well as oven use. Like any enameled cast iron pot, it is heavy and should be handled with care. Use pot holders, avoid sudden temperature changes, and do not use it in a microwave.
