Made in Japan by Tosaryu, the Hinoki Soap Dish is crafted from aromatic Japanese cypress, a wood traditionally valued for its natural oils, fragrance and resistance to moisture.
The compact wooden form keeps soap elevated from wet surfaces while allowing water to drain away. Hinoki’s high natural oil content makes the material particularly well suited to humid bathroom environments, while its distinctive pale grain and subtle forest scent give each piece a warm, tactile character.
Produced in Kochi Prefecture, Japan, the soap dish reflects Tosaryu’s approach to everyday wooden objects, combining local materials with traditional woodworking knowledge and simple functional forms.
