An unconventional pitcher, the Harvey Carafe looks different, depending on the viewing angle. Award-winning Dutch designer Aldo Bakker created the series for Thomas Eyck using simple forms and industrial accents. The carafe looks like a simple cup when seen from behind, but turning the object around reveals its sculptural spout. Made by Studio Zand from warm anthracite, each carafe features a hand-polished finish that gives the material a subtle luster. Available in different sizes, the Harvey Carafe can be used as a water carafe or as part of a tea or coffee serving set. Pair this design with the other tableware from the same collection to create a coordinated look.

Aldo Bakker

Aldo Bakker was born in 1971 in the Netherlands. He grew up in a creative family - his parents are Emmy van Leersum and Gijs Bakker, both visual artists and jewelry designers. Gijs Bakker also co-founded renowned conceptual design brand Droog. While Aldo Bakker did attend classes at the Design Academy Eindhoven, he left school and rejected formal arts and design training.
