Designer
Born in 1971, British designer Sebastian Wrong studied sculpture before establishing his own manufacturing company. His experience in production gave him a detailed understanding of materials and techniques that informs his furniture, lighting, and accessories. In 2005, he co-founded Established & Sons, contributing both his own designs and the manufacturing expertise needed to develop the brand’s collection. His work often brings a playful detail to a familiar object, from the Font Clock’s mix of twelve typefaces to the bold wood-grain prints of the Wrongwoods furniture collection, created with artist Richard Woods. Other notable designs include the handblown Filigrana lights and the Spun Light for Flos, which received a Red Dot Design Award in 2004. In 2011, Wrong founded The Wrong Shop, publishing prints and objects by contemporary artists and designers.
