Born in 1981, Sebastian Herkner began his design education at HfG Offenbach University of Art and Design, focusing on Product Design. His career took a significant turn post-graduation when he worked briefly with Stella McCartney in London. In 2006, he opened his own design studio, quickly gaining recognition for his innovative approach to design. Herkner has collaborated with various respected brands such as Ames, Cappellini, and Moroso, contributing to a diverse portfolio that includes furniture, lighting, and decorative items. Beyond product design, he engages in interior architecture and exhibition design. Herkner's creative contributions have earned him multiple international awards, including the IF Award and the Iconic Award. His role as Guest of Honor at imm cologne 2016 and being named Maison&Objet's “Designer of the Year” in 2019 are highlights of his vibrant career.
