Designer
Patricia Urquiola is a Spanish-born, Milan-based designer and architect known for her multidisciplinary approach to product design, interiors, and concept development. A graduate of the Politecnico di Milano, where she studied under Achille Castiglioni, she later collaborated with Castiglioni, Vico Magistretti, and Piero Lissoni before establishing her own studio in 2001. Her work spans furniture, lighting, and interiors for brands such as Alessi, B&B Italia, Flos, Kartell, Molteni, and Moroso, with pieces featured in the permanent collections of MoMA and La Triennale di Milano. She is also the creative director of Cassina, shaping the brand’s vision while continuing to push the boundaries of contemporary design.
