Designers Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto slip each sphere over a hidden metal frame so light from the inner diffuser ricochets through every bead, amplifying the glow and scattering intricate shadows across the ceiling.
At first glance you read glass, but lift it and you feel the surprise: the shade is feather-light, making installation simple even in older homes where a traditional crystal chandelier might pull too hard on the joists. A satin diffuser plate hides the bulbs and sends a clean pool of light downward while the beaded ring releases a 360-degree wash—task illumination and ambient sparkle in one gesture.
