Nini Andrade Silva is a Portuguese interior designer and artist born in Funchal, on the island of Madeira. She studied Design at IADE in Lisbon and developed her international perspective through academic and professional experiences in New York, London, Paris, South Africa, and Denmark. Her work spans hospitality, residential interiors, furniture, and collectible design, with projects completed around the world for major international hotel groups. Madeira remains an important influence throughout her work, from the island’s landscape and natural materials to its cultural traditions. Andrade Silva describes her approach as “Ninimalism,” a personal design language that combines simplicity with expressive forms and a strong sense of place. Alongside her interior design practice, she is also a painter and the founder of the Nini Andrade Silva Design Centre in Funchal, a cultural space dedicated to design, art, and Madeira’s creative heritage.
