The iconic ’85 Lamps’ Chandelier by Droog gets an eco-friendly LED update. The 85 Lamps Chandelier was designed by Rody Graumans for Droog Design in the Netherlands. Less and more in a single product: 85 LED bulbs, fitting, cord and connector create light. This new LED version uses 85 pieces of dimmeable 1.2W LED bulbs. Please note that an external wall dimmer is required. Professional installation recommended. Please note that LED bulbs have a different dimming performance than incandescent bulbs. LED light bulbs for this lamps are included. LED light bulbs have been lighting up everything from homes to art installations, and it seems even the most iconic light fixtures have been getting eco-friendly updates. Case in point: Droog‘s famous 85 Lamps chandelier is now available in LED form. Designed by Dutch designer Rodi Graumans, the chandelier first hit the market in 1993 and became an instant classic with its simple, unadorned design. With its functional elements completely on display, this stylish design makes for an eye-catching and playful centerpiece that you can now enjoy without the high energy bill (the new chandelier boasts about an 83% savings compared to the previous incandescent version). Not only environmentally responsible, the extended life span of the LED bulbs will be a huge time saver when it comes to replacing all those bulbs. The 85 Lamps Chandelier is included in the permanent design collection of the MoMA in New York. The Rody Graumans 85 Lamps Chandelier was selected for inclusion in the first design collection offered by Droog Design, established in 1994 by designers and theorists Gijs Bakker and Renny Ramakers. Droog is a firm that has captured much attention for its stance against consumerism and its use of industrial and recycled materials. The diverse works of the talented young designers chosen for The Museum of Modern Art design collection celebrate ingenuity, economy of form, and a minimalist aesthetic, as does this lamp by Graumans.

Delivery: Our standard shipping provides delivery to the front door of your residence or the dock of a commercial building. Our dedicated delivery team will carefully transport the item(s) from the truck to the first available dry, protected area outside your premises (front porch, garage, etc.)

What's Included: Standard delivery includes delivery to the front door. For multi-unit buildings, the order may be delivered inside the entrance to the building, but not to individual apartment doors. In some instances, a signature may be required. Please note, this option does not include inside delivery to the room of choice, unpacking, assembly, or removal of packing debris.
