Skeppshult was established in 1906 in Sweden. Using traditional techniques, the company produces handmade cast iron cookware and kitchen accessories that last for generations. The heirloom-quality products come to life through a carefully controlled process of heating iron and other metals to 1,500 degrees, followed by the hand-pouring of the molted mixture into unique sand molds. Organic oil seasoning and lacquer finishes protect the surface of the cast iron. Apart from their exceptional quality and durability, all Skeppshult products are minimalist as they follow Scandinavian design principles. The company also ensures that its operations are as eco-friendly as possible by recycling molds and using electricity from wind and hydro sources.
