Description
A home espresso machine like no other. The AnZa R2 is a concrete espresso maker that looks like a piece of sculpture and works like a professional café machine. Its hand-cast concrete shell, porcelain touch points, and matte black steel base make it a bold design object—while inside, it’s packed with modern espresso tech.
The R2 delivers instant steam thanks to a thermocoil system, so milk texturing is ready with no wait. A PID-controlled stainless steel boiler holds brewing temperature steady at 199.4°F (93°C), while a pre-infusion mode blooms the puck for richer flavor. Brew pressure is adjustable (8–12 bar), shown on a front-mounted gauge, so you can fine-tune every shot. The 58 mm ceramic-handled portafilter works with standard baskets and tampers, and the cool-touch steam wand with a 3-hole tip gives you silky microfoam.
Everyday usability was refined in the R2: a removable glass water tank, hot-water spout for Americanos, and a redesigned drip tray and steam knob make it straightforward to use and maintain. Despite its mass of cast concrete, the footprint stays compact at 15.5″ H × 9.5″ W × 11.5″ D. The concrete is sealed to resist stains and wear, while the solid top plate handles heat so you can actually work on it. Built for daily espresso routines, the R2 combines durability, precision, and a sculptural presence that earns its place on the counter.
