Originally made for the US Navy in 1944, the Emeco Navy Chair is one of the most famous designs in the world and has been in continuous production since the ‘40s. Influenced by its pure utilitarian purpose and the need for durability in harsh environments, the chair features an understated design with clean lines. Sturdy but lightweight, Navy Chair is made of recycled aluminum. Using a 77-step process, skilled craftsmen hand form, weld, and temper the aluminum to enhance its strength.
