Description
Many chairs have made waves in the world of design. Navy Chair is certainly one of them, but this design also has something most products lack: a fascinating backstory. Made in 1944 by Emeco, the simple, minimalist chair was specifically designed and crafted to withstand the demanding environment of US Navy submarines. Over the years, the chair attracted the attention of renowned designers all over the world, entering a new chapter. Now, the iconic Navy collection is synonymous with high-end design. This version of the popular chair features comfortable armrests with an elegantly curved silhouette. Crafted by hand in a complex 77-step process, the chair is made of recycled aluminum with a tough anodized finish. The surface boasts a brushed or a polished finish. The former suits any outdoor space, while the latter suits sheltered outdoor areas and indoor living spaces.
