Designed in 1978, the Gira Table Lamp directs light through a rotating chrome-plated arm and adjustable conical shade. Choose from brass, black anodized aluminum, or natural anodized aluminum.

Description

Designed in Barcelona in 1978 by J.M. Massana, J.M. Tremoleda, and Mariano Ferrer, Gira was first produced by Mobles 114 and is now issued by Santa & Cole. Its construction is direct: a square metal base supports a narrow chrome-plated arm and a conical shade.

A swivel joint at the base allows the arm to rotate and lean, while the shade can be tilted around the bulb. The two adjustments make it possible to move the light across a desk, angle it toward a book, or direct it onto a smaller section of a side table. Gira works especially well for reading, writing, office work, hotel rooms, and bedside use.

Every version has the same grey metal base and chrome-plated structure. Only the shade changes. Choose Brass for a warmer reflective surface, Black Anodized Aluminum for a darker finish, or Natural Anodized Aluminum for a silver-toned option.

The US lamp uses one replaceable E26 LED bulb, not included. Santa & Cole currently recommends an 11W bulb producing 1,521 lumens at 2700K. The shade is secured around the bulb, so the bulb must not exceed 2.36 inches in diameter or 4.3 inches in height.
