The Fir Tree Paper Wreath reinterprets one of nature’s most recognizable silhouettes through Chiori Ito’s thoughtful approach to paper engineering. Beginning as a single flat sheet, the wreath gradually takes shape as each branch is folded by hand, creating depth through light, shadow, and layered geometry.
Unlike traditional paper decorations, the wreath is made from Yupo®, a Japanese synthetic paper that resists water, tearing, and everyday wear. The material allows the decoration to be displayed season after season while retaining the crisp appearance of folded paper.
The stylized branches were intentionally designed with a slightly playful character, making the wreath suitable beyond the holiday season. It can be displayed as it is or personalized with ribbons, ornaments, or small decorative accents to suit different interiors and occasions.
