Chiori Ito

Chiori Ito is a Japanese designer whose work bridges product design, interiors, and craftsmanship. Based in Sapporo, she founded her own design studio in 1999 after studying in both Japan and Denmark, experiences that shaped her appreciation for functional design, natural materials, and everyday living. Working closely with local manufacturers and artisans, Ito creates objects that balance practicality with a refined sense of form. Her best-known collection, Paper Wreath, reflects this approach, transforming a simple flat sheet into a sculptural decoration through thoughtful design and precise construction.
