The iconic ’85 Lamps’ Chandelier by Droog gets an eco-friendly LED update. The 85 Lamps Chandelier was designed by Rody Graumans for Droog Design in the Netherlands. Less and more in a single product: 85 LED bulbs, fitting, cord and connector create light. This new LED version uses 85 pieces of dimmeable 1.2W LED bulbs. Please note that an external wall dimmer is required. Professional installation recommended. Please note that LED bulbs have a different dimming performance than incandescent bulbs. Case in point: Droog‘s famous 85 Lamps chandelier is now available in LED form. Designed by Dutch designer Rodi Graumans, the chandelier first hit the market in 1993 and became an instant classic with its simple, unadorned design. The Rody Graumans 85 Lamps Chandelier was selected for inclusion in the first design collection offered by Droog Design, established in 1994 by designers and theorists Gijs Bakker and Renny Ramakers. Droog is a firm that has captured much attention for its stance against consumerism and its use of industrial and recycled materials.
