Designed as a creative take on embracing imperfections, this EMKO writing desk is titled “4.9”, a small fraction beneath a perfect 5 score. The convenient space at the back can be used to store writing or art accessories and even a larger laptop. Thanks to its compact design and elegant appearance, the desk can be used in any space to add more functionality to a work area. To maintain the “imperfect” concept, the desk comes with an angled work surface, but in order for the design to work as it should, the desk has to be manufactured with perfect accuracy. It’s a clever play on contrasts that comes from the mind of Marius Valaitis, a young Lithuanian designer.
