Inspired by family meals and their spirit of togetherness, the Monolithic Cookware collection provides a versatile solution to cook any food, anywhere. Designed by Naoto Fukasawa for JIA Inc, the Monolithic Frying Pan combines minimalist forms with a simple black finish. The all-black cast iron surface enhances the colors of the food further to put dishes in the best light. Made of cast aluminum, this designer frying pan is lightweight and has great thermal conductivity to save time while cooking. The ergonomic handle is comfortable to hold and it’s made of heat-resistant plastic. Sealing in the flavor, the lid also boasts small bumps for venting steam. Other features include Teflon™ Profile non-stick technology and induction heating compatibility. The Monolithic Frying Pan is ideal for both Western and Eastern cuisine. A casserole, sauce pan, and three utensils from the same range are also available.

    Specifications

    • Materials: Cast aluminum, bakelite, Teflon™
    • Dimensions: 10.5" x 18" x 4.1" or 26.7 cm  x 45.9 cm  x 10.5 cm
    • Seasoning the cookware: Before first use, fill it with water up to seven-tenths of the way up the cookware, bring it to boil for 5 minutes and then pour the water out. Wipe the cookware dry and apply a thin layer of cooking oil. Bake with medium-low heat for 2 minutes. Rinse with water after the cookware is cool to complete the seasoning of the cookware.
    • Heat source: Applicable to various stoves such as gas stoves (gas cooktops), crystal furnaces, induction cooktops
    • Recommend use: Cast aluminum has good thermal conductivity. Recommend to use medium-low heat for cooking. Avoid sudden changes in the temperature of the cookware. After cooking, wait until the cookware has cooled, or rinse it with warm water to prolong the life of the cookware.
    • Care: Not dishwasher friendly. Do not use rough brush to clean the utensils to avoid scratching the surface.
