Designer
Thórunn Árnadóttir is an independent Icelandic designer. After finishing her BA in Product Design at the Iceland Academy of the Arts in Reykjavik, she moved temporarily to London to complete a Design Products MA at the Royal College of Arts in 2011. Together with Dan Koval, she founded design brand 54Celsius and Pyropet Candles, where she is head designer. Her work spans multiple disciplines, themes, and techniques which are driven by experimentation, curiosity, and research into different cultures and materials. Fun and creative, her designs are also distinctive and thought-provoking. She has exhibited her work worldwide, including at the V&A in London and at the Triennale di Milano. Thórunn Árnadóttir currently lives and works in Reykjavík, Iceland.
