British designer Thomas Jenkins graduated from the London South Bank University with a degree in Engineering Product Design in 2002. The same year, he started working for well-known brand Dyson. In 2006, he moved to Oslo and started working as a Senior Designer for Frost Produkt. His work for the company has received Red Dot Design Awards and has been exhibited in Tokyo and London. He opened his own design studio in 2010. Throughout his work, Thomas Jenkins focuses on quality, simplicity, and the relationship between user and object. The designer explores different materials, traditional techniques, and industrial manufacturing methods to create timeless products with a distinctive character. For example, his ultra-minimalist Jut Cabinet for Skagerak is as beautiful as it is versatile and thoughtfully designed. Thomas Jenkins currently lives and works in Oslo, Norway.
