David Meier (b. 1990) is a German industrial designer and founder of studiomeiid (2019). His background in technical model making, together with BA and MSc studies in industrial design, anchors a practice that moves easily between hand-built prototypes and digital tooling. The work is straight to the point—clear geometry, well-judged details, and objects made to be used every day. A light touch runs through it: edges soften where the hand meets the piece, mechanisms stay simple, and the occasional wink of humor is welcome. Projects span furniture and accessories for European manufacturers and small independent runs from the studio.
