Stilleben (Ditte Reckweg & Jelena Schou Nordentoft) is a Copenhagen-based design duo working across tableware, interiors, and color-led product design. Both trained in ceramics and glass at the Danish Design School (2001), they pair clear forms with a deliberate, hands-on approach to glazing and production. In the studio, color is treated as a working language: palettes are built through testing, tuned to sit well with food, and composed to mix freely across a table. That thinking shaped Lyngby Porcelæn’s Rhombe Color—conceived so a place setting reads like a “painting from above,” balancing warm and cool tones—and earlier pieces such as Kähler’s Omaggio vase. Their process moves from sketches to prototypes to glaze trials, translating precise hues into durable finishes. Alongside their own Stilleben collections, they collaborate with Danish manufacturers on objects that keep classic lines but invite bolder use of tone and contrast.
