Rosalba Galati

Italian designer Rosalba Galati approaches jewelry with the eye of an architect and a fascination for unconventional materials. She studied architecture in Venice and Toronto, Canada, where she also gained professional experience before returning to Italy to explore design across different disciplines. Since 2005, Galati has developed a distinctive approach to contemporary jewelry, transforming materials such as metal mesh, steel, glass, PVC, and neoprene into lightweight, sculptural accessories. Her designs explore the relationship between texture, volume, and movement, often allowing the wearer to reshape or arrange each piece in different ways. Originally known for her work with Materia Design, she established the Rosalba Galati brand in 2021 alongside her daughter Giulia. Based in Padua, Italy, the studio combines material experimentation with Italian craftsmanship, creating expressive jewelry that balances bold forms, playful details, and everyday wearability. Her creations have been featured in museum shops and design boutiques around the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Guggenheim museums in Venice and Bilbao.
