Italian designer Roberto Giacomucci was born in 1960 in Ancona. During his architecture studies, he established his first studio, Studio Progex. After graduating from university, he started working as a freelance designer, collaborating with various Italian brands. His portfolio includes everything from furniture and lighting design to interior design and packaging design. Imaginative and intricate, his designs often combine unexpected shapes and materials. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with many well-known furniture, lighting, and home décor companies, including Emporium, Magpie, and Guzzini. Roberto Giacomucci has received many awards for his work, including several Good Design awards, the iF Product Design Award, and an Honorable Mention at the prestigious XXIII ADI Compasso d'Oro Awards. He currently lives and works in Ancona, Italy.
