Philippe Malouin is a Canadian designer based in London. He studied at the University of Montreal, École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in Paris, and Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands before working with Tom Dixon and opening his own studio in 2009. His work spans lighting, furniture, rugs, and objects, often with a focus on simple forms, strong material presence, and tactile details. Whether working with stone, textiles, metal, or glass, Malouin creates pieces that feel direct, considered, and quietly distinctive. His studio has collaborated with brands and institutions including Marsotto Edizioni, Kvadrat, Umbra Shift, Swarovski, Bloomberg, Aesop, and others. He has received several design awards, including Wallpaper’s “Best Use of Material” Award and the W Hotels “Designer of the Future” Award.
