Patrick Martinez, an artist from Los Angeles with a diverse background of Filipino, Mexican, and Native American heritage, infuses his work with a unique cultural perspective. A graduate of the Art Center College of Design with honors in 2005, Martinez is adept in a variety of media, including painting, neon, ceramic, and sculpture, through which he skillfully examines the everyday realities of life in L.A. Well-known for his mixed media "landscape" paintings and neon sign sculptures, Martinez's works are rich tapestries of working-class Los Angeles, featuring elements like distressed stucco and spray paint.
