Olimpia Zagnoli

Designer

Olimpia Zagnoli (b. 1984, Montecchio Emilia) is an Italian illustrator and multidisciplinary artist based in Milan working across print, publishing, public commissions and objects design. Her images travel with ease among formats: newspapers and magazines, book covers, ad campaigns, children’s books, transit spaces. Editorial clients include The New York Times, The New Yorker and Vogue Italia; publishing work ranges from covers for Penguin, Taschen and Feltrinelli. Commercial commissions have included work for Elizabeth Arden, Barilla and Apple, as well as limited editions and accessories for Dior, Prada and Fendi. In addition to illustration, she also tests the waters with kinetic elements, neon, music videos and ceramics; her work has been displayed in galleries in Milan, Los Angeles and Düsseldorf as well as institutions (the Chiostri di San Pietro – Reggio Emilia – and Sejong Center – Seoul). Among the books she has illustrated are Caleidoscopica, a retrospective of her first decade, and L’Omino di Niente, a children’s title by Gianni Rodari. She lives in Milan, where she works as a designer and is the co-founder of Clodomiro, a handmade luxury design line.
