Øivind Slaatto

Danish designer, Oivind Slaatto, intertwines his passion for music and design to create timeless, simple yet complex products. Initially a music student at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Slaatto later graduated with a Master's degree from the Danish Design School, leading him to establish SLAATTO DESIGN in Copenhagen. His unique design philosophy, likening each creation to a melody, is seen across diverse projects from cars to light fixtures, with a distinct affinity towards light design to reshape our living spaces. Working with renowned Danish brands like Louis Poulsen Lighting, Bang & Olufsen and Le Klint, Slaatto's work has earned him accolades including an IF Product Design Award, CES Best of Innovations Award, and Design of the Year from Bo Bedre (2013).
