Nadine Kümmel is a German designer and the founder of Nadine Kümmel Design, a Mainz-based studio established in 2015. Her work spans furniture design, interiors, spatial concepts, and sustainable product development, with a focus on objects and spaces that are practical, considered, and emotionally engaging. After studying interior architecture and product design in Mainz and Melbourne, Australia, Kümmel worked as a designer and project manager for the exhibition builder Expotec, where she developed projects for clients including SEAT, E.ON, and JUWI. Alongside this work, she began developing her own furniture and interior design projects. Her interest in sustainability led her to complete a degree in Sustainable Product Development at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Today, her practice is shaped by whole-system thinking, design thinking, and a strong interest in circular economy principles. She also shares her knowledge through lectures and workshops and serves as a presiding member of Cradle to Cradle e.V. Mainz.
