Nader Gammas

Nader Gammas is an architectural lighting designer whose work begins with light itself: where it falls, what it reveals, and how it directs attention through a room. Born and raised in the United States and of Syrian origin, he studied architecture at the University of Jordan before earning an MFA in Lighting Design from Parsons School of Design in New York. His studio develops project-specific and made-to-order fixtures from narrative, lighting performance, and material experimentation. A piece may start from a single element of interest, then grow through layers of brass, plaster, slumped glass, patinated finishes, or multiple points of light. Gammas debuted his first lighting collection at Art Dubai in 2017, leading to representation by Todd Merrill and Studio Twenty Seven. Today, the studio produces chandeliers, wall lights, floor lamps, and commissions with custom options for size, configuration, and finish.
