Matti Klenell

Stockholm-based Swedish designer Matti Klenell was born in 1972. He completed his studies in 1999 at Konstfack - University College of Arts, Crafts, and Design, with an MFA in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design. In 2000, the designer opened his own studio. In his work, Matti Klenell explores Nordic design principles, blending often unconventional design concepts with function. Working with international companies, the designer creates both serial and limited-edition collections while also completing public and private art commissions. Matti Klenell’s work has been included in the permanent collections of the several museums and has received many awards. These include EDIDA Sweden Design awards and a Red Dot Design Award.
