Matteo Thun

Matteo Thun is an Italian architect and designer known for his work in architecture, industrial design, and product development. Born in Alto Adige, he studied architecture at the University of Florence and later moved to Milan, where he worked with Ettore Sottsass and became involved in the Memphis movement. In 1984, he opened his own studio, focusing on projects that emphasize longevity and material innovation. In 2001, he founded Matteo Thun + Partners, with offices in Milan and Shanghai, working on projects that integrate sustainability with contemporary design. His contributions have been recognized with multiple ADI Compasso d'Oro awards, and in 2004, he was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame.
