Massimo Giacon

Designer

Born in Italy in 1961, Massimo Giacon is an artist renowned for his contributions to contemporary design. Sharing his birth year and homeland with other noteworthy artists like Maurizio Cattelan and Grazia Toderi, he has carved out a unique niche in the art and design landscape. Represented by Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea in Milan, Giacon's work has enjoyed exposure through key exhibitions, most recently in "Specie Di Spazi (Species of Spaces)" which ran from May to July 2019 at the Milan gallery. Drawing inspiration from the rich cultural tapestry of Italy, from its classical heritage to its modern movements like Futurism and Arte Povera, Giacon's work synthesizes elements of Italian history into contemporary design. His artistry is especially relevant in the era shaped by 1980s influences, a decade marked by the dynamism of global capitalism and the explosion of new media. With his innovative approach, Giacon adds a unique narrative to the ongoing dialogue of Italian art and design.
